A 9to5mac reader has noted that users of the older generation MacBooks and MacBook Pros will be able to make use of four finger gestures on the device’s trackpad.

This is said to be featured in the much anticipated release of Snow Leopard, where another 9to5 reader has made mention of a special version of Flash, and notes that not everything is currently 64-bit. The reader states:

<medium>“Well, i downloaded it (torrent), and it didn’t contain any malware. It gives you 4 finger multitouch for the older mbp’s early 2008, even though i hacked it in leopard. It also contains flash out of the box, pretty nice i guess, finder isn’t very stable, half the preference panes are still in 32 bit, furthermore not all the applications are in 64-bit yet. Also, updating it in snow leopard doesn’t seem to do anything because it didn’t start downloading the latest version. Furthermore the theme is changed very slightly, and that’s mostly it. It’s also faster than leopard if, but will be even faster since not everything is 64bit yet, and can take advantage of that.”</medium>

In case you missed it, a few builds of Snow Leopard had leaked onto a few torrent sites a while back.

Since the release of MobileMe’s Mail and Address Book applications, it has become more apparent that Apple is making a general shift to web-based applications. The folks at 9to5mac claim to have gotten word that Apple is preparing to announce a web-based version of the upcoming iWork suite of applications at the upcoming Macworld.

They maintain that the next version of iWork will be hitting the cloud, and not just for storage. Numbers, Pages, and Keynote which is noted to see some exciting upgrades, will be entirely browser-based. Previous information had revealed talks of an entirely “Webkit-based” platform following Apple’s use of the SproutCore framework for MobileMe.

While this information may have been expected as a natural transition, a few pertinent questions remain, including; will there be offline access to the applications and will there be support of the iPhone or iPod touch? 9to5 insists that they will fervently attempt to provide more information and go on to mention the clue word, Magic.

Supposed Spy Pictures of Apple’s iPhone have been leaked.

There is strong evidence to suggest numerous technological advancements in Apple’s second generation iPhone. Such as “true-GPS, exchange support, and 3rd-party apps,” however, nobody knows for certain what the new device will look like…. except for Apple that is.
Word around the Rumor Mill has been that the [...]

There is strong evidence to suggest numerous technological advancements in Apple’s second generation iPhone. Such as “true-GPS, exchange support, and 3rd-party apps,” however, nobody knows for certain what the new device will look like…. except for Apple that is.

Word around the Rumor Mill has been that the device will be slightly thicker than the current version, and sport an all black finish.

Our friends Engadget and 9to5Mac each report a source with valid information, and both of them are posting supposed leaked pictures of the new device.

Either way, WWDC (Apple’s annual World Wide Developer’s Conference) has been pegged as the perfect platform to release the much awaited Second Generation iPhone. Expect the Rumor Mill to heat up in the weeks leading up to this event.
