It’s going to have a 10 inch touch screen, and have a carbon fiber unibody. It will be so cool that you’ll even see Windows/Linux users buying it. Oh, release date? May 2009.

Perhaps Apple would think of offering a down sized MacBook or MacBook Air with a 10″ screen. There are several “netbooks” that range up to this size. This would make the offering smaller then the current line. Allow for a full size keyboard, and likely set the standard for netbooks. My guess is that a 10″ MacBook (or MB Air) would weigh less, be thinner than any of the 8″ models on the market.

I like, like LIKEthis proposition of 14/Mbps. In Canada one of our highest speeds is 10 Mbps..then if you WANT FASTER you pay a whole bunch-for 18mbps.

@Eric: You’d get without second thought cause you’re probably an Apple freak. They don’t need to be going after this market, they should be making their normal laptops smaller and cheaper.

I believe that they would be able to capture the college market. I’m seeing many students running around with laptops, and every day I see someone that has switched to a Netbook. A few of them switching from Macs.

I’m looking at a netbook right now, and if Apple had one I get it without a second thought.

I think it won’t be under $699 which is a shame becaus then it will compete with the entry level macbook.. if apple really want to go into the netbook market they must aim for $500 any higher and it will be eating up their macbook sales…
