SpeedDate.com has released an iPhone app into the App Store that allows its users to increase dating partners and “make a match anywhere from their iPhone and iPod touch.” Quite a hefty promise for an application that promotes anti-social behavior.
The application, which can be downloaded from iTunes here, can be downloaded immediately. Users can log into the app, immediately view potential matches, and send an all encompassing electronic “flirt” message along the lines of, ‘This is me making the first move… Your turn!’

Perhaps a bit strange is how SpeedDate.com pushes the fact that this application will help people meet potential partners, by increasing anti-social patterns such as looking at a screen and being forced to type instead of speaking to the people around you.
“We are excited to offer the first all-access dating application for the iPhone,” stated Dan Abelon, co-founder of SpeedDate.com. “We were the first site to simplify the online dating process and allow instant chemistry – not lengthy, complicated profiles – to help our members connect with each another so it makes sense that we’d also be the first to bring dating to the iPhone.”

As you’d expect, the application is fully integrated with the SpeedDate.com website. Users can now access nearly everything that was only online, from their iPhones and iPod touches. They are pushing a 60-second signup process that is really simply and easy to get through, with access to millions of personal matches immediately.
There are many other applications that attempt to connect people through dating applications in the App Store. Simply open the iTunes App Store and type in dating.
A few of the features as listed by the developers:
• View photos of millions of single women and men
• Send and receive unlimited messages and winks
• The fastest and most fun way to date all types of people
• Fully integrated with SpeedDate.com
• Live chat dates
