Adding to the confounding evidence that Walmart will soon be carrying the iPhone, a few of the mega-retailer’s locations have already begun advertising the device’s availability.
If for some reason by now you have not bought into these reports, AppleInsider notes reader reports of Walmart window decals and cardboard display jackets that depict the device with a simple line stating, “iPhone 3G. Now at Walmart.”

We had recently caught wind of a leaked internal Walmart memo that clearly detailed their upcoming iPhone plans. So these new advertisements are really just more hard evidence to what is already widely presumed.

I saw one of these last night at my local Walmart. Didn’t seem too exiciting, I asked a few questions and the employees pretty much droned at me.
If this is any indication as to what purchasing an iPhone through Walmart is like… Count me out.

I am still pretty shocked by the lack of Radioshacks selling the iPhone.

@Ray: Same here man. There’s a Radioshack two blocks from my house and I walk by it everyday wishing it had cool gear.

Yeah, I think Radio Shack is having a hard time hanging with all these discounted prices online. I got a cable for half the price on amazon.
