Back on September 9th, alongside a brand new line of multi-colored nanos, Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled a pair of premium, in-ear headphones that he said would be available in October.

At the Apple Let’s Rock event on September 9th, Jobs told the media that these new headphones would be available “next month,” which at the time was October. Now that October has come and gone, and we’re nearly a fortnight into November, it would be safe to assume we’ll see these headphones within the next two weeks, hopefully by the end of the month. It has been exactly 61 days since Jobs made the announcement, so they’re already late, by Apple’s own standards. Has everyone gotten sick of waiting and already bought V-Moda’s? Or is anybody else waiting to try these out?

HA ! You’re not the only one man. I was just thinking this.

At $79 they’re $20 cheaper than the v-moda’s. If the sound quality is similar, or better. than I’m going for these. But I’ll wait for a review or two before i make a purchase.

I have the v-moda vibe 2 duo’s myself. They’re decent, but I’ve had them die out on me quite too many times. V-Moda’s support is good, and they’ll usually send you a replacement pair… they’re reasonable. The V-Moda Duo version 2’s should be available soon, so hopefully the Apple premium pair will have at least comparable sound quality.

I just hope they come with a plastic earpiece size that fist my ear. 3 isn’t a wide range, and that’s all they come with.
