Apple needs the Mac mini ande also a prosumer model (as Lorenzo points out).

There are simply a huge amount of people who wnat MACs and already have monitors keyboards, or wnat them to plug in LCD TV's for home cinema, or just have choice or whatever.

Mark my words.. the Mini aint dead, just a replacment is comming... (Apple aint dumb).

Apple has never been a company to focus on cheaper goods. they continue to deliver expensive products at a premium, and you pay for the quality. they know that.

the bottom line is, nobody uses the mac mini, and the imac can handle a lot of work power. but it's in-configurable. what's needed is a mac pro mini, something in between the imac and the gigantic mac pro that can be targeted at pro-sumers.

PRO-SUMERS people !!! COME ON !!!! professional + consumer = PROSUMER !!! Apple needs to directly HIT this market.

Are you sure they arent going to do a refresh with the imacs? Make the
"most affordable mac ever" - more affordable? I doubt they are going to cut their least expensive mac on an economic downturn...just my 2 cents
