Leaked: Macbook Pro Spy-Shots, Keyboard Rumors Confirmed [Update]

New images have surfaced (via MacRumors’ forums) claiming to be the new Macbook Pro. As with most leaked spy-shots, the image is blurry and reveals very little about the actual product. The image does however confirm information MacBlogz received back in June about the upcoming Macbook Pro’s physical keyboard.

The leaked images reveal a blurry side of Apple’s alleged upcoming Macbook Pro. Rumors about the Macbook Pro’s ports getting a reconfiguring surfaced around September 25th, when a few insiders claimed to have actually seen the physical hardware.

This image originated at this Chinese forum.

The image also lends itself nicely to recent information regarding a new manufacturing process that Apple is using, where each notebook would be carved out of one piece of high grade, aircraft quality aluminum.

Additionally, it looks like our sources were dead on seeing as how the keyboard housing is clearly cut away for a new “Chicklet” keyboard à la the Macbook Air. Back in June MacBlogz received information from confirmed sources about the upcoming Macbook Pro’s keyboard.

We have spoken with a connected source close to us, and they tell us that the Macbook Pro will,“100% have a Macbook Air-like keyboard. Feeling more like the Macbook’s current keyboard, yet offering backlight.” We asked about the track-pad but they shrugged it off as if it was no big deal. Almost indicating that the current track-pad might be sufficient in Apple’s opinion. We also asked if they could confirm a launch date, to no avail.

We have endorsed this rumor since we first released the information we received, and based on every “leaked” image we’ve seen, a similar design trait seems to follow, which is the natural progression for Apple’s notebooks.

The image looks nearly identical to the current Macbook Air’s cutout. Additionally, due to the missing speaker grills (perforated holes) in the casing, we can clearly see that this case depicts a smaller screen laptop as apposed to a larger screen Macbook Pro.
