I have QuickTime version 7.5.5, 512MB of RAM, 64 MB of VRAM, and 24.81 GB of free space.

Seeing as how iTunes 8.0.1 should run on a Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, G4, or G3 processor, make sure you have QuickTime 7.5.5 or later, you need 512MB of RAM; 1GB is required to play HD-quality videos, also, playing videos also requires at least 16MB of video RAM…

Let us know if you have all of these.

YES!!! I have had the same problem, exactly!!! And no, LOLZOMG, the manual install did not work, the application installer quit unexpectedly when I tried it.

Angie: You can download iTunes manually from the following link…

LINK: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ — After it’s done downloading, simply reinstall iTunes (drag the iTunes icon into your Applications) and it should be the latest version. Let us know if it works.
