New information from a German retailer

That’s right folks, if this is true, expect some big announcements from Apple sooner than we thought. The German retailer T-Systems, which is a division of the iPhone’s German Carrier Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile, apparently has images of what it claims are the new Macbook Pro for sale.
The new notebooks offer a glossy and matter display, and sport a black border, similar to current iMac displays. The notebooks feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 2GB of Ram, a 250GB Hard Drive, nVidia GF 8600M GT video card, and come in both 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz flavors.
MacBlogz received word yesterday that after some “field checks” it was in fact confirmed that new Apple notebooks were shipping, ans sporting a thin Aluminum casing, LED displays and a highly aggressive price point. Only keyboard news we have is that “Tastatur mit Hintergrundbeleuchtung” means a “backlit keyboard.”
New information from Citi analysts explain the following: “Following field checks in Asia, we remain comfortable with our above consensus revenue and EPS estimates for 3CQ08. New products, iPhone geographic expansion and sharp declines in key component prices also bode well for upside in 4CQ08. Finally, valuation is attractive at 13X forward free cash flow…Field checks confirm that shipments of new MacBooks have begun, with a sharp production ramp planned for Sept and an introduction planned for early October. The most distinctive features of the new MacBook appear to be a very thin aluminum casing, an LED-backlit display and an aggressive entry-level price point.”
