With HD shows I’ve purchased on iTunes, my Apple TV lists both the HD and SD version *with no way of distinguishing between them!!” – it’s madness.

It’s also madness that HD shows cannot be purchased using the shopping cart option – and there is no warning and no message about this; however, if you add an HD show to your cart, only the SD version is added – I wonder how many people have inadvertently purchased the SD version because of this (luckily I noticed – and so didn’t make the mistake, but have had to disable the shopping cart option).

My guess is that Apple either had to push this Apple TV update back, or had technical problems, and wanted to smooth things out before releasing it.

There’s simply too much functionality that needs to be integrated into the Apple TV for them to ignore.

Unless of course, they just ditch the whole device altogether, combine the Apple TV and the Mac Mini and build in a set-top box with DVR. Maybe that would be a good start.

I haven’t been waiting for the language choices. But I was definitely stunned when Apple unveiled HD TV Shows and didn’t let us download them to our Apple TV’s.

I’m waiting for this update just as much as anyone else.

All I know is that I’ve run into countless situations where I’ll watch one show that I’ve synced from my computer, then I’ll want to watch another one and I have to go back to my computer, buy it on iTunes, then sync it to the Apple TV.

This is a joke. I’m sooo glad to hear that an update is coming.
