Steve Jobs’ Physical Appearance to be Intensely Scrutinized Come September 9th

Next Week’s “Let’s Rock” event may be the prime platform for Apple CEO Steve Jobs to unveil updated iPods and iTunes enhancements, but the media function may serve as a calculated opportunity for the Apple boss to show off positive signs of his physical health.

Steve Jobs As many of you are already aware, Steve Jobs’ health concerns have played a major role both in investor emotion/confidence and within the company as a whole. Nearly every media outlet in the industry, both big and small went into a feeding frenzy following Jobs’ gaunt appearance at last June’s WWDC ‘08. You can bet your buck that this time around, folks may be just as interested in surveying his appearance as they are with the announcements that will be made.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is more than ready to display his physical appearance to the public eye. He knows good and well that he is going to be scrutinized by the media, and any uncomfortable signs pointing to him being sick, will surely lead the media into another tailspin. This again, won’t be good for investors, or for the overall perception of the company. Both Steve and Apple know that the economy is in a downturn and although Apple’s shares have been outperforming, confidence in the company and its CEO is very vulnerable.

Such an appearance would directly combat the recent stabs at Jobs’ health by former fake Steve Jobs, Dan Lyons, who reportedly was noted to say, “Well it’s a weird situation. I can’t really get into this but people close to him have been saying for quite a while (before the appearance onstage) that he’s really sick,” said Lyons referring to Steve Jobs, “And someone who saw him last week says he still looks like (expletive)”.

I think it goes without saying that such impudent remarks could only come from truly classless individual. For most of us, Steve’s health concerns will continue to be pure speculation and what we choose to believe from the various articles we read. But just because he’s in the spotlight, and for that matter, the most important employee of corporate America, it doesn’t mean his health should be anything other than a private matter. More than anything, Apple’s share prices are affected by investor confidence, and nobody is forcing shareholders to own Apple shares (AAPL). If they feel uncomfortable, they should sell them.

Believe it or not! People invest in other people based on their talents and skills, not merely their company. With that said, Mr. Steve Jobs’s health is not only important for us to know, but it is crucial for all that are involved in his technological input now and the future. Therefore, forgive if I want to know whether he is on the mend or not. According to all Apple investors and with all due respect to all of the talented people that work at Apple, this company’s name is actually the face of Mr. Jobs whether anyone likes or not! He goes down, so will the company. Why in the word do you think the stock price has dropped so much in recent weeks? This is merely because of the fear factor of the unknown health of Mr. Jobs. Heck! We all want him to live to 200 if that’s ever possible. Yes, we give a damn, and we care enough to know because he has down so much to improve so many people’s lives that we only wish him the very best!
