Panic Releases Coda 1.5; Baked in Subversion

Portland, Oregon based Panic Inc. have released Coda 1.5.
Improving upon the best all-in-one development software out there seems near impossible to do, but Panic has done it. Prior to this version of Coda, the software was already leaps and bounds ahead of anything else available. Dreamweaver (a product from Adobe), looks like a standard Microsoft application that comes bundled with Vista when compared to Panic’s Coda.
As they mention on their website, Panic has found a way to make Coda save you even more time in your web development workflow.
The following features and enhancements have been added to Coda version 1.5:
• Subversion. Work with a team using the most popular source control system there is, baked right into the sidebar. Check out code, update, commit changes — yep, Coda just saved you even more time.
• Find across files. You can now find and replace text across multiple local files — open files, files in a specific folder, or the files in your “site” — using the same sleek, inline search bar you know and love.
• Custom web books. Got a favorite web page for, say, Ruby on Rails documentation? Add it to Coda’s built-in bookshelf for instant access. You can even specify a search URL to look up functions from the editor.
• Improved Clips. You can now organize your favorite text clippings into groups, and easily import and export your clips to share them with others.
• Tons more. AppleScript. Performance. Mixed syntax modes. And it’s a free upgrade? Yow.
We use Coda day in and day out around here. This single piece of software has changed the way I, and the people around me work. Being based in Portland, MacBlogz holds an especially close place in our hearts for Panic software. It’s hard to imagine Coda could get any better. But then again, that’s what we said last time.
