Chinese Authorities Grant iTunes Access?

During this year’s Olympic Games, Chinese officials had blocked access to iTunes.

Previously MacBlogz had reported that “Chinese authorities have blocked all access to the iTunes music store, ostensibly due to one single album out of the over 8 million or so songs, that doesn’t groove well with them. The album in question, entitled ‘Songs for Tibet’, includes tracks such as “great firewall of China,” criticizing the the unfair treatment that Tibetans have faced for so many years.”

9to5mac reports that “An Apple tech support email said: “iTunes is not being blocked in China from our end, but access to the iTunes Store IS restricted in some areas in China.”

A Computerworld post attempts to explain more of the international iTunes debacle.

Here is a promotional video, for the album in question.
