Do either of you (St Louis or Houston) have offices in Salt Lake or Seattle? If your phone can't get a GPS signal, it goes off the WiFi signals, and I'm guessing that if the network is somehow linked to those cities, that's the problem.

That happens to me as well. It says I'm in Houston, yet I live in Seattle. Very frustrating if you ask me.

This happens sometimes when radio-waves get crossed (I think). Does the same thing happen on Edge? Or Wi-Fi?

I saw something weird and wanted to see if anyone else had seen this or know the reason for this.

When I am at work(St.Louis), when I select Maps option on my Iphone 3g, it comes back and locates me as being in Salt Lake city UTAH. In other places at my home or any other place, it seem to be working fine and locates me correctly. Just at my work it seems to be getting lost.

I tried turning off the 3G and did the same using the old Edge network and then it works fine. It does seem like the 3G is getting some wrong data.

Any ideas?
