Fire Rings Out at Apple’s Cupertino Campus

A three alarm fire, rang out late last night at Apple’s main campus in Cupertino California.

More than 60 firefighters from the Santa Clara and San Jose and Los ALtos Fire Departments arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a potential fire on the roof of the building at 20605 Valley Green Drive. Upon arrival emergency crews were met with copious amounts of smoke billowing from the building.

Also known as Valley Green Six, the building is believed to be one of the more prominent on the campus, as it has been housing to several hardware-based research and development projects. via AI.

While the fire is believed to have burned portions of the roof and second floor, Santa Clara deputy chief, Hal Rooney noted that the fire may have began under an air conditioning unit on the second floor. The blaze was finally contained around 12:30 am, yet while no injuries have been reported, the estimated damage cost is still unknown.

Hopefully this wasn’t an act of aggression from a disgruntled MobileMe user. I mean we all now it was a disaster but c’mon. Now we can only hope that what was going on in that building will not affect our much anticipated mysterious “product transition.”
