The iPhone Dev Team is now reporting that the crew at RiPDev are nearing a release of Installer 4 (beta), and have subsequently decided to hold off on today’s release of PwnageTool 2.0.2.
The Dev Team tends not to announce release dates, in order to avoid being pressured into releasing something that is not ready (jeez, where have I seen that before?). Yet sensing people’s restlessness they did claim to have an official release “sometime today.” This release was noted to include the following features:
The announcement of the nearly complete Installer 4 beta came just in the nick of time, as the Dev Team will be able to include it in the upcoming release, which is now set for tomorrow (Friday). While many are biting their nails in anticipation, it makes much more sense for them to hold off and release it in one fell swoop as opposed to providing two releases in two consecutive days.
Kudos, Dev Team, keep up the good work.
