The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has recently released a sizable document detailing “Touch Screen Device, Method, and Graphical User Interface for Determining Commands by Applying Heuristics”. While patent #20080174570 contains vast amounts of information, one particular section may hint at Flash support on the iPhone, a feature that many have been waiting on edge for.
The content of this patent does not indicate concrete evidence that Apple will add support for Flash to future versions of iPhone OS 2.0, but it does let us know that they are at least considering it. Additionally, we may even see native support for Windows Media content.
