A line has formed this afternoon at the Portland,OR Pioneer Place Apple Store. A quick call and visit by MacBlogz reader Chris confirms that the line was in fact for a re-stocking of Apple’s new iPhone 3G.
Reports that the iPhone 3G was sold out everywhere across America began showing up late last week and early this week. We asked the manager when they received the new iPhone 3G shipments and all he said was “We just have a big box of them, I don’t know when they came in.” MacBlogz confirmed that no other Portland,OR Apple Stores have any iPhone 3G’s in stock so it’s rather strange that the smallest Apple Store (which happens to be located in a mall) received an unexpected shipment of iPhone 3G’s today.
