In Apple’s Q3 Financial Results – Conference Call moments ago, Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer was asked for his official statement regarding Steve Jobs’ health.
An earlier post today raised the concerns about Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ health. While the company was reporting quarterly financial reports, a question regarding Steve’s health was asked.
Oppenheimer answered the obviously awkward yet somewhat necessary question with the following statement, “Steve loves Apple and has no intentions to leave. He serves at the pleasure of the board. Steve’s health is a private matter.” Although in a quarterly financial call regarding Apple’s earnings, Steve’s health isn’t too relevant, the question was awkward and necessary. Inevitably, Steve Jobs is tied into Apple’s success. Stock holders deserve the right to know what is going on with the CEO of the company they partially own (are investing in).
