Despite the iPhone 3G’s subsidized cost and vast array of applications via the App Store, there is still a demand for iPhones that are not attached to a single network as well as an interest in running non-Apple sanctioned applications. And guess what. After already unlocking and jailbreaking the iPhone 2.0 firmware, it only took the the crafty crew at the iPhone Dev Team 5 days to jailbreak the iPhone 3G.
On their blog, the Dev Team has recently posted a video claiming to be “the world’s first jailbroken iPhone 3G running our own software.”
This latest Pwnage tool is claimed to released as early as this week and will be available for the iPod Touch and both versions of the iPhone.
