Google has announced the release of a new version of Google Talk available for the iPhone and iPod. To receive the service users will simply need to point their browsers at google.com/talk, sign in and voila.
According to Google, the new version of the app remains similar to its desktop counterpart. The major difference being that it is only available through Safari and when opened with other browsers, users will appear unavailable.
Most of the other features will remain intact, however. Users can select from a quicklist of the people you contact most, search your contacts, and manage multiple conversations. You’ll never have to miss out on the latest gossip or updates from friends just because you’re away from a computer.
