As the hype-machine keeps building up steam, software developers are battling tooth and nail to cash in on the upcoming App Store. But if they want to make in on time for launch, Apple has set a deadline that is sure to have developers scrambling to fine tune their apps.
In preparation for the App Store’s grand opening on July 11th, Apple is calling for developers to send in their submissions by 12:00 p.m. PST on July 7th. While applications will be accepted following the deadline, there is no promise that late arrivals will be available on the App Store’s debut.
With the amount of publicity surrounding the launch, it would be in any developers best interest to have their entries up and running come the 11th.
Apple has also noted that developers are encouraged to test their apps against the iPhone OS beta 8 prior to submissions.
