WWDC Gets Detailed. Secret Events !

Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) is right around the corner scheduled to run from June 9 to 13. For the first time ever, the event is completely sold out, and there is a completely separate “track” or “section” of workshops that iPhone developers can attend.

In the months and weeks leading up to the event, the Rumor Mill has heated up with talks about a 3g iPhone. A few new features, specs and possible enhancements to the current iPhone can be found here.

Although we might be getting ahead of ourselves, there are around 13 sessions on Apple’s WWDC Schedule Grid marked ” Session to be Announced.” These events could simply be careful organization and planning on Apple’s part, but they could also reveal some secretive information.

For example, if Steve Jobs releases a new 3g iPhone model, then these “TBA Sessions” could be used to focus on that particular iPhone model. The sessions could also be used to focus on the iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit), which is currently in beta. Apple is planning on releasing the finished version of the SDK at WWDC (if they meet their own deadlines), and they could also be planning to show off some new enhancements that have been added to the SDK since it’s beta release.

Yes, we know that this is a stretch, but we are looking for any glimmer of hope here. Apple is a very tight-lipped company, so it would make sense that these sessions are not titled. It would also make sense that these sessions be used to focus on products, software and services that are currently un-announced and not on the market.

Only Steve and his minions know exactly what is planned. Us, along with the entire community of Apple junkies, will have to wait.

P.S. - I did pee in my pants a little bit when I found out Steve was confirmed for a keynote :) !!!
