Apple to Celebrate Boston Store Grand Opening

When the Boylston Street (Boston) Apple store opens on the Thursday, May 15, it will effectively become the largest in the fleet of over 200. Macdailynews.com reports that in celebration, Apple will be giving away limited edition T-shirts, as well as hosting free workshops, live music and other special events.

The four story building, formerly home to Copy Cop, will dedicate it’s top floor entirely to programs, support and service. Included will also be the ever so popular Genius Bar, with one-on-one training and workshops dedicated to providing insight and information on a broad array of Apple products and features.

One store employee had revealed to Gizmodo.com that Apple is expecting between 1,500 and 2,000 customers per hour, which is about 10x the average for other Apple stores. While the green monster-esque outer facade still remains, the gem underneath is anxiously waiting to be revealed.

You can check out listings of upcoming events for the new flagship store here.
