Apple Tech Support Best in Class; Says ‘Consumer Reports’

According to Consumer Reports, Apple has received the highest ratings for technical support in the PC industry.  The esteemed magazine has recently conducted a survey amongst its readers to gather their user experiences pertaining to technical support amongst the major players in the personal computing industry.  Apple was awarded a score of 83 for it’s notebook support, translating to “very satisfied” on the rating scale.

Coming in second and third, was Lenovo and Dell, boasting rather meager scores of 66 and 60, respectively, equating to “fairly well satisfied” experiences.  Receiving the lowest score, was the current market leader, HP, proving that their tech staff needs to pick up their game.

Apple is also the clear victor in the desktop support sector, with a score of 81, far ahead of its slow-footed competitors putting up scores of under 60.  Apple has also blown away its competition according to a census on the University of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index, an annual measure of consumer gratification.  The ability to quickly solve problems proves to be the consumer’s number 1 requirement for customer satisfaction, which Apple has been able to efficiently supply.
