Translucent Stickies.

Making See Through Stickies

One very useful trick to keeping yourself right on task is to utilize the power of Stickies. Yet sometimes they can become obtrusive and more than likely will end up being a pain on your desktop view. One cool and simple way to relieve your stress and keep organized is to make your stickies transparent. Simply open your stickies, click one and press Command > Option > T (for translucent). This allows you to see right through it, and can be extremely helpful for those of you with cluttered desktops.

Also, you can double click in the header portion of the “Sticky” to minimize it to a narrow bar; double click it again to maximize. I keep a minimized Sticky on my desktop as a quick access notepad and clipboard for almost anything. I temporally save URL’s that I may want to return to, but not sure that I want to save as a BookMark, in a Sticky with a note about why I may wish to review the site at a later time. Later I can “right click” on the saved URL in the Sticky and reopen the site.

Mac4Ed - Thanx for the addition to the post. I’m sure Dave (post author) will appreciate the feedback too.

What you do is definitely a great idea, I personally am a complete control freak over my bookmarks. So, Stickies help a lot !
